Your Voice. Your Film. Your Channel. Submit Today.
WORLD Channel presents documentaries and news that examine and celebrate the human condition through personal stories from around the globe. Our programs ask the question: How do we struggle, overcome, and thrive in a changing world?
To find the best and broadest answers, WORLD seeks storytellers who want to share their stories our viewers. With a rolling open call process, we are currently accepting submissions for completed non-fiction films and series. If selected, your short or long-form work may be featured on WORLD Channel and/or worldchannel.org.
Our original series include:
• America ReFramed, a long-form documentary series that brings to national audiences compelling stories that illuminate the changing contours of an ever-evolving America.
• Doc World, an international long-form documentary series dives deep into the heart of an issue, giving viewers a chance to understand the lives and concerns of people beyond U.S. borders.
• Local, USA, a half-hour series focusing on a single theme uniting one or more short-form stories from around the country.
• N.S.E.W., a weekly showcase of public media series rooted locally...sharing the stories that make up the fabric of a new American demographic.
• Stories from the Stage, a storytelling series illustrating the power of real stories told by masterful storytellers.
If your project does not seem to fit into any of our series, submit it using filmmaker or station application and we will see how it may fit into our overall programming.
For all film submissions, they must adhere to both PBS and WGBH editorial and funding guidelines. Please read these guidelines thoroughly before submitting your application. We look forward to reviewing your work.
